FIRST AND FOREMOST. The Renegade Kempo program is not a fast track to an easy belt. If EXPERIENCED martial artists have their own fighting system and are seeking teaching credentials, then please click here for more information on the AKJA Black Belt Challenge.
NO ONE WILL BE PROMOTED THROUGH THE RENEGADE KEMPO TRAINING METHOD WITHOUT DISPLAYING THE SKILL SET THAT WE SEEK. We breed fighters and concentrate on fight attributes. If a student displays the fighter qualities that we seek, then they will be promoted. A Renegade Black Belt is a skilled martial artist that can without a doubt fight. We put this program together to build a stronger organization and to be able to deliver bigger and better Training Association camps.
This is the only online/distance training program that meets the prerequisite requirement of being an instructor or black belt equivalent prior to membership in the AKJA Parent Schools Training Association. Membership in the Renegade Kempo Training Method will last as long as a student needs the program. WE CREATED THIS PROGRAM BECAUSE OF THE NEED TO RAISE THE SKILL LEVEL OF NEW MEMBERS JOINING OUR TRAINING ASSOCIATION. WE HAVE SET THE BAR, WELCOME!
We are a hybrid full contact fighting system addressing all combat fighting ranges utilizing a systematic training progression that excellerates our students knowledge base and fighting skills in an aggressive manner, faster than any of the traditional training methods.
Our lineage is traceable through the JKD / Wing Chun line straight to the Shaolin Temple and that along with our hybrid training methods is what makes our Kempo unique.
The Renegade Kempo Training Method is not a new martial art system. It is a conceptual training system which allows us to present Kempo in the most efficient fashion. Renegade Kempo's training material only costs between $14.40 to $16.90 per rank as seen by following the link at the bottom of the page. Our training methods are street combat oriented. There are no kata or forms or numbered self defense techniques to memorize.
We beleive that with every generation there should be some change. After several hundred years if a system remains the same, then theres room for improvement. It does not mean it needs drastic change. Just that it should evolve and reflect each generations instructor. Martial arts are taught in todays fast paced society in a fashion that takes many years to master. In the old days a student would spend several years learning a single kata. Thats why in their day the old systems were very efficient. It was a slower process of training BUT THEY WERE PRODUCING TRUE MASTERS OF THE MARTIAL ARTS.
Today a student reaches blackbelt in 1 to 3 years and in some cases even less than a year of training. There is no way a student can learn a fighting system that fast training that way. The only way to achieve a black belt faster is to "train smarter." By smarter we mean, modern training with practical applications and close quarter combative technique. Thats what our jobs expect of us, to work "faster and smarter." I would expect our students to want to learn in this manner as well.
The techniques are taught in a progression from basic to intermediate to advanced. Building off the basic technique, expanding the basic technique and grafting the techniques in a fashion that one could nearly use any technique at any time.
There is not hundreds of techinques. Just the right combat effective techniques expanded upon which in time could lead to an unlimited number of techniues as one becomes a master. But up to black belt one only needs to have achieved proficientcy with the basic technique and be able to use it in a fashion that reflects combat effectiveness.
For the martial artist there is only one rank that really matters and that rank is black belt. A martial artists training really does not start until black belt. In an effort to recruit black belt fighters into our academies training association we are allowing members of the Renegade Kempo Training Method to join our academies training association after passing their black belt test. We allow video testing. Our new black belts are the equivalent to a Shodan-Ho which is a black belt that has passed all the training requirements but is required to complete a 1 year probationary period. Our certificates do not read probationary black belt or anything of that nature but anyone who intends on moving up higher than a 1st degree black belt in our organization will complete a 1 year probationary period. We think the 1 year probationary period is fair considering our academies students train in person on a weekly basis with us. Since our goal is to build up our training association nationwide with our instructors in as many states as possible. This is the only way to do that. We will also be recruiting state and regional representatives.
We encourage video testing because we will know beforehand that a student has truly learned the basics as set forth by the Renegade Kempo Training Method and will have the necesary tools to be a functional student within the Training Association.
We've made this very simple. There is no skipping rank. We have 4 tests instead of 10. Each test is already like moving up 2 to 2.5 ranks at a time. There is no set amount of time in between ranks. Just a set amount of skill that we need to see in the test video. We will visualize you're technique and guide your training in preparation for your black belt test. AFTER A STUDENT ACHIEVES THEIR BLACK BELT THEY WILL BE INVITED TO JOIN OUR ACADEMIES TRAINING ASSOCIATION AS A REGULAR MEMBER WITH FULL BENEFITS including training camps, personalized training programs and consistant "question and answer" feedback through several forms of modern digital correspondance.
